In the vibrant heart of Tokyo, a corner of the city has been transformed into a corner of Taiwan, offering locals and tourists a unique cultural experience. Under the warm summer sun, Ueno Park was filled with the colors, scents and sounds of the Taiwanese island in an unprecedented celebration.

Held annually in July, the festival has become an essential gathering point for those who wish to explore and celebrate Taiwan's rich cultural heritage. This year, the event attracted thousands of visitors, all eager to immerse themselves in Taiwanese culture without having to leave Japan.

Upon entering the festival grounds, visitors were greeted by a stunning display of traditional Taiwanese lanterns, illuminating the pathways with their bright colors and intricate designs. These lanterns not only decorated the space, but also told stories from Taiwan's mythology and traditional festivals.

Traditional music resonated in the air, with dance groups and musicians coming straight from Taiwan to perform on the main stage. Performances included folk dance, Taiwanese opera and contemporary pop music, offering a sonic journey through the history and modernity of Taiwan, in Tokyo.
